Home based business: sent from my iPad on 15th may 2012
How to find the best home based business opportunity in Queensland, Australia? Before I get into the mechanics of finding the best home based business opportunities around the city of Brisbane lets look at something rather interesting.
I am writing this email from Manila for my blog that I run go help people to find ways to escape the rat race in Brisbane. A friend of mine in north Manila said something interesting to me not so long ago.
She mentioned to me that they are three types of people.
- The person that makes things happen
- The person who wishes things to happen, and lastly
- The person who wonders how things happen.
Interesting that most people fall in the last two categories.
And this next saying will emphasis how true this is.
Once there were three cats sitting on a table. The owner came into the house and two of the cats decided to jump off the table.
Can you tell me how many cats were still on the table? Most people will find this hard to answer. This includes me too as I said the wrong answer. It’s not one cat. The answer is all three.
As you know two did decide to jump but they did not take any action. This is so true in life. We all behave like the two cats. We decide to do things but never put things into motion. We don’t jump off table. This is why so many people are trapped in doing what they are uncomfortable these days. They are too scared to take action. They are like the two cats.
How to find the best home business opportunities!
So now let’s look at how to find the best business opportunities in Brisbane. We are cats who are going to take action. We are the first group.
Look for systems
Best home based business opportunity is one where you have great systems that run the business. Once you implement these systems you will soon have leverage and time freedom to do what you want with the money you are earning through your business.
Why do small business not use proven systems?
The question is that most small business cannot afford to have systems that are proven to work well as seen in McDonald’s. The operators have little or no budget for systems and most often start with a shoe string budget doing most of the work themselves. Most operators run themselves into the ground and either loose their business in the first 3 to 5 years or just scrap by with a basic wage struggling to pay bills and make a living.
Do you know anyone who is in this situation right now. Or a you in this place as we speak.
Now the best home based businesses are those that are easy to set up, easy to run and that has the potential to generate a decent or very good income depending upon the efforts you put into the business. Click here for more information.
Why do small business owners not train?
Most mum and dad businesses are typical where the owners have all the know how in their heads and if they are missing from work no one knows what systems are to be used to finish any of the jobs at hand. This is a terrible position to find yourself as an owner as you feel trap. You can never leave or be too far from your business.
In 10 years in my first business in Brisbane I had just a 10 day break in all that time. And when I did take time off I lost quite a bit of goodwill as my staff were not able to fill my big shoes I left behind. Whose fault was it? Certainly it was the owner’s fault. I had not learned to delegate and empower others to get better than me.
People may leave and set up in competition to you!
Most home based small business owners behave in this fashion as they are either too scared to share trade secrets with others in case people leave and set up shop next door as the competition or they are too busy working too hard to find the time to train people well enough to do the jobs efficiently and effectively.
Training is expensive!
Training people is an expensive exercise and most small business owners do not have the resources in time, energy and money to train staff.
Very few business models are in the market place today that can offer people on a shoe string budget a proven formula to success. Yes franchises are plenty to choose from but they could range from around $20,000 to over millions depending on a pooch wash to McDonald’s.
Why people do not look at Direct Selling as an option?
A much over looked option is that of direct selling. Direct selling is a way to take products or services straight from the manufacturer to the end user. The process by passes the middlemen such as national and local warehousing, advertising as well as the shops that would sell the products to you. The person who makes the recommendations gets a commission directly from the company. This is proving to be a very viable way to do business in the 21st century.
Direct Selling Offers handsome bonuses!
Some home based business companies go even further to entice you to look after the marketing force and encourages you to train and support these teams. They also help to provide training and support backed by systems that the company puts into place to make things run smoothly for you. In return they have handsome commissions and bonuses that compensate you for your efforts. Very similar to running your business.
Benefits of Direct Selling!
The only difference is that you don’t have employees working for you any more. You don’t have employer issues as payroll, sick leave and staff not pulling their weight.
Instead you have highly motivated individuals who are business associates just like you with dreams to fulfill. They will work with you and so will carry all the responsibility of running their part of the business. Now this leads to the next and most over looked of all business models. Keep reading…
What about Network Marketing?
Have you ever looked at network marketing as a way to do business. There are some very good business models around that you could do very well over two to four years of concentrated, persistent and hard work.
